Welcome to our Class Website!

We are in the midst of our Virtual Mini Camp Skeeter! Please join us each morning for flag raising and camp songs. You can enter the Google Hangout for this through your student email invite or my daily parent email. Be watching in those emails for important information and events. I will try to put most of them on Seesaw, as well. It is a bit more difficult to include the links for some of the activities....that's why those will mostly be in the parent emails. As we wind down this week and next, please let me know if you have questions or concerns. I know that there are so many things being sent to you....it is easy to miss things...so I don't mind the questions at all!

As per the order of Gov. DeWine, schools will be closed at least until May 1, 2020. Our school district is preparing an instructional framework that will be put into place by the end of the week. There will also be district information regarding getting Chrome books out to families that are in need during this time of remote learning. Be watching for important information over the next week. I will continue to post daily messages and materials in the Seesaw app as well. Thanks for your support and encouragement! We can do this!
3-16-20
Please be sure to check in on Seesaw for school day updates and watch for district updates via email and our school district website. Thanks for all your support and cooperation!

Our Westerville City Schools district has announced that we will be closed on Monday, 3-16-20. I will be sending a Seesaw message to our students and families on Monday, just to check in! Please take care!

Hello, families! Thank you to all of you that are staying connected on our Seesaw app. That is so helpful to me, and hopefully helpful for you, too. As the district has announced, the schools will be closed starting on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 and will remain closed until at least April 6, I believe. That is subject to change in this highly unusual situation. We will be sending home a letter today from our first grade team about school work to be completed at home for the first week that we are out of school. After that, there will be additional updates from me on Seesaw and here on the class website. I also plan to send Teacher Greetings on Seesaw for your child (and you!) on each regular school-day. I think this will help the students cope with this time apart from their school routine. Materials will also come home with your child today that can be used over these next few weeks. I plan to be available via Seesaw and my school email for questions and clarifications. This is new territory for all of us...even ancient veterans such as myself! Thanks for all your kind words and support. It means so much to me! Marty S.
